Farmers advised to drain out rainwater from cotton field

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -29th Augst,2016) : Agriculture department Monday advised farmers to drain out rainwater from cotton field otherwise it would affect the crop's growth. According to officials source, the farmers should take immense care of their cotton crop.

The ongoing situation of cotton crop is satisfactory.

The recent spell of rain could be dangerous in case the rainwater accumolated for 24 hours in the crop. The officials asked farmers to drain out water with help of motor pump towards fields of paddy, fodder or sugarcane.

In case, they are unable to drain water from any field, then they should dig up four feet deep and two feet lengthy holes in order to accumulate water from the field.
