ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th August, 2016) : PML-N Senator Nehal Hashmi has said imposing ban on Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain's speech was a right decision. Talking to a private news channel, he said nobody could dictate the government regarding strike on media houses as it had taken prompt action against anti-state elements involved in the attack on media channels.
He said the government was enjoying heavy public mandate and taking decisions in national interests. He strongly condemned the attack on media houses in Karachi as Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had also condemned `China Cutting' issue during Pervez Musharraf's regime. He said Altaf Hussain was not loyal with the country, saying that Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had taken up issues of money laundering and Imran Farooq's murder case with the British authorities.
Replying to a question, he said the peace had been restored in Karachi due to targeted operation and credit of operation's success goes to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, who always took such manifold decisions.
The operation was launched in consultation and consensus of all political parties and the lights of metropolitan city had been restored due to the operation, he said and added Karachi was going to again become the economic hub of the country due to prudent policies and vision of the Prime Minister.
He said National Action Plan (NAP) was yielding desired results by eliminating terrorism from the country.
