New gold price reaches a new high of Rs356,800 in local markets of Pakistan
KARACHI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 1st, 2025) The price of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs6,600 per tola and reached a new high of Rs356,800.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs5,658 and settled at Rs305,898.
The prices of gold witnessed a sharp increase in both international and domestic markets, making the precious metal increasingly unaffordable for the common man.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold surged by $66 per ounce and pushed the global rate to $3,348 per ounce.
Silver prices also followed suit as per tola silver price increased by Rs52 to Rs3,834 while the price of 10 grams of silver went up by Rs45 and reached Rs3,287.
Traders attributed the rise to global economic uncertainties and a weakening rupee which continued to drive investors towards the precious metals as a safe haven.
