At least 78 more Palestinians martyred in Israeli forces’ attack on aid center in Gaza

Among those martyred are 14 displaced Palestinians who had been there in line to get some food at the aid center, Arab media and local health officials confirm

GAZA: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 26th, 2025) At least 78 Palestinians were martyred as the Israeli forces intensified military offensive in Gaza, the Arab media and local health officials confirmed on Thursday.

The Israeli forces targeted those Palestinians who had gathered at an humanitarian aid center and had been waiting for food in the line.

“Among those martyred were 14 displaced Palestinians who had been waiting in the line to get some food at the aid center,” the Arab media reported. The local health officials also confirmed it. A large number of civilians also came under the attack of the Israeli forces.

The Gaza health ministry stated that the hospitals across the region are overwhelmed, and the casualties are mounting by the hour.

Since the beginning of May 2025, Israeli attacks on aid centers alone have resulted in over 500 Palestinian deaths, said the Palestinian authorities.

Meanwhile, in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis area, Hamas fighters launched a counteroffensive and destroyed an Israeli armored vehicle using explosive devices. The attack killed seven Israeli soldiers and marked one of the deadliest single incidents for Israeli forces in recent weeks.

Amid ongoing violence, US President Donald Trump issued a statement expressing cautious optimism. He said there are signs of progress toward ending the war and voiced hope that the nearly two-year-long conflict between Israel and Hamas could soon reach a resolution.

The international organizations called for an immediate ceasefire and unrestricted access to aid as humanitarian crisis in Gaza continued to worsen.
