12th Pakistan-UAE Joint Ministerial Commission Held in Abu Dhabi, Several Key Agreements Signed

Abu Dhabi: (Pakistan Point News - 25 June, 2025) The 12th session of the Pakistan-UAE Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) was held in Abu Dhabi on 24 June 2025, co-chaired by Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE.
Ahead of the main session, a working group meeting was conducted under the leadership of Tariq Bajwa, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State of the UAE.
The JMC undertook a comprehensive review of bilateral relations and reached consensus on strengthening cooperation in various sectors including trade, banking, culture, investment, aviation, railways, energy, food security, climate change, defence, healthcare, manpower, higher education, and information technology. Emphasis was laid on improving institutional mechanisms and fostering inter-ministerial coordination.

Held in an atmosphere of mutual trust and brotherhood, both sides discussed regional and global developments, reaffirming their commitment to peace and regional stability. A protocol was signed to outline procedural frameworks for follow-up actions and reciprocal visits.

Agreement on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy
Both parties expressed satisfaction with the outcomes and agreed to host the 13th JMC session in Pakistan on mutually convenient dates.

The successful JMC session reflects the deep-rooted, strategic, and forward-looking partnership between Pakistan and the UAE.
