KUALA LUMPUR: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 14th, 2025) The Pakistan national hockey team will kick off its FIH Nations Cup 2024 campaign against host nation Malaysia on Saturday, June 15.
As per the schedule, the match would begin at 8:00pm local time.
The international event, organised by the International Hockey Federation (FIH), is set to take place from June 15 to June 21, with the final match to be held on the concluding day.
Pakistan has been placed in Pool B along with Malaysia, Japan, and New Zealand. After their opening game against the hosts, Pakistan will face Japan on June 16 and New Zealand on June 18.
The semi-final matches are scheduled for June 20, while the final will be played the following day. The team that wins the tournament will qualify for the prestigious FIH Pro League.
Meanwhile, Pool A features France, South Korea, Wales and South Africa. The Pakistani squad arrived in Malaysia earlier this week to prepare for the competition.
