Bilal Azhar Kayani already holds a portfolio of Minister of State for Railways and also heads Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit (PMDU)
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 12nd, 2025) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday assigned Bilal Azhar Kayani the additional charge of Minister of State for Finance, according to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Wednesday.
The notification read that the appointment is effective immediately and added to Kayani’s existing responsibilities within the Federal cabinet.
Bilal Azhar Kayani is already serving as the Minister of State for Railways and also heads the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit (PMDU), a key body responsible for overseeing governance and policy implementation.
Kayani will now play a more direct part in shaping and supporting Pakistan's financial and economic policies at a time when the country is facing major fiscal challenges.
