PDWP Approves Irrigation Development Scheme

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th August, 2016) :- The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved a scheme of the irrigation sector with an estimated cost of Rs 91.568 million. The scheme was approved in the 13th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17 presided over by Chairman P&D board Punjab Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
Secretary P&DD Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of the Planning & Development Board, provincial secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant departments also attended the meeting.
According to a spokesman for the P&DD, the approved development scheme included Feasibility Study for using seepage of River Ravi to meet with drinking water needs of Lahore City (PC-II) at a cost of Rs 91.568 million.
