National Youth Athletics Championship From Sep 4

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th August, 2016) : The Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP), is organising the National Youth and Junior Athletics Championships (Men & Women) from September 4, at Jinnah Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.
More than 300 athletes of the Army, PAF, WAPDA, Railways, HEC, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Islamabad, AJ&K, FATA & Gilgit-Baltistan will be competing for top honours in this two days extravaganza, said Muhammad Zafar, secretary, AFP here on Friday.
It is an annual event in which champion athletes display their prowess in the sports arena. In the schedule of championships, 18 events of Junior Men, 14 events of Junior Women, 16 events of Youth Men and 14 events of Youth Women have been included, he added.
It is informed that Under-20 athletes, aged 18 or 19 years on December 31, 2016 (born in 1997 or 1998) and under-18 athletes, aged 16 or 17 years on Dec 31, 2016 (Born in 1999 or 2000), can participate in the competition.
