20th Death Anniversary Of Khalida Riyasat Observed

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th August, 2016) : The 20th death anniversary of veteran television actress Khalida Riyasat was observed on Friday with reverence and solemnity and tv channels highlighted her illustrious performances as an artist in their special progammes dedicated to her.

According to a private news channel, Khalida Riyasat was a diligent actress, one who possessed noteworthy talent and capable of providing exceptional performances on-screen. She was born on 1st January 1953, Khalida first starred in the drama 'Naam Daar' during the 1970s.

She was also sister of a famous actress Ayesha Khan. She along with Uzma Gilani and Rohi Bano dominated TV dramas in 70s and early 80s. She died on August 26th, 1996 at the age of 43.
