No Report Exists About Allegations On Parliamentarians For Links With Banned Outfits

State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurganzeb on Thursday said there has been no report of Intelligence Bureau (IB) about allegations on Parliamentarians for having links with banned outfits
ISLAMABAD, Oct 5 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Oct, 2017 ) : State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurganzeb on Thursday said there has been no report of Intelligence Bureau (IB) about allegations on Parliamentarians for having links with banned outfits.
She said that letter being attributed to IB is totally fake and fabricated and Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has started the inquiry under the law against those airing such fake news.
The minister said that PEMRA has started the action in Councils of Complaint under Section 26 of PEMRA Rules. She said the Chairman Standing Committee on Information Aslam Bodla has taken notice of it and its report would be presented in the House.
Earlier, speaking in the House, Minister for Law and Justice Zahid Hamid said the issue was raised in the Cabinet meeting. The Cabinet also took notice of the issue, he added. "I was asked to investigate the issue, I made a telephonic call to the Director General of Intelligence Bureau (IB) and he (DG IB) told the list aired in the tv programme is fake and had no reality" he added.
He said that reference of the Prime Minister linked with the list has also no reality. He said that a formal complaint had also been lodged with PEMERA in this regard.
