AWKU Planning To Start 2nd Shift Classes To Accommodate Maximum Students

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -25th Augst,2016) : Administration of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan has decided to start second shift classes for Bachelor of Science (BS) four years programme to accommodate maximum students. According to a private news channel, decision to this effect was taken by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Ihsan Ali after consulting the heads of all the departments of the university. At the beginning of this semester, about 20,000 students have applied for BS programme at the university while the university can accommodate only 2,500 students.
Thousands of students would have remained deprived of admissions this year if second shift classes were not started.
Professor Ihsan Ali after consultation with all heads of departments decided to start second shift classes from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
The second shift classes will start in agriculture, bio- technology, chemistry, English, environmental sciences, geology, law, management sciences, banking and finance, microbiology, physics, political science and zoology. The students have appreciated the university's decision for starting second shift classes.
