BISP To Start Survey In Bahawalpur On August 31

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -25th Augst,2016) : Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) would start desk approach in Bahawalpur on August 31st, whereas in Naseerabad and Sukkur, in the first week of September in its pilot resurvey. The pilot phase was started from Harripur in June which includes 16 districts across the country.
Officials of BISP told APP that under the resurvey desk approach will be employed in four districts while door to door Approach will be utilized in 12 districts. The 12 door to door resurvey districts included Jacobabad, Thatha, Mohmand Agency, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, Layyah, Chakwal, Faisalabad, Kech, Qila Saifullah, Lakki Marwat and Charsadda.
National roll out of resurvey will be followed by the pilot phase.
They informed that to overcome the inclusion and exclusion errors, BISP has adopted CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviews) instead of (Paper Assisted Personal Interviews) PAPI technique this time.
Poverty scorecard has been revised and two approaches of resurvey i.e. desk approach and door to door approach have been adopted so that no deserving family is missed out, they informed.
For verification of the authenticity of the survey done by the targeting firms, operation review firms are being procured through a competitive and transparent process. They also informed that people could contact BISP in case of any complaint at its hotline No. 0800-26477.
