LHCBA passes resolution against MQM chief

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th August, 2016) : Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) on Wednesday passed a resolution condemning Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussin for chanting anti Pakistan slogans while addressing his party men. The resolution also demanded Election Commission of Pakistan to ban the MQM as a political party. The resolution was passed in a general house meeting, which was presided over by the former LHCBA president and Member Pakistan Bar Council Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon. Former LHCBA President Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon, LHCBA Secretary Muhammad Anis Ghazi, former LHCBA president Pir Masood Chisti and others condemned Altaf Hussain and termed him a traitor for his anti Pakistan activities.

The meeting demanded Supreme Court of Pakistan to take action against Altaf Hussain for vilifying the country and inciting attacks on the media houses. The MQM leaders had been in practice of delivering speeches against the country first and deceiving people by making lame excuses later.

They demanded strict action against the leadership of MQM, the resolution said. Former chairman Senate Farooq H Naik and a large number of lawyers also attended the meeting.
