Work On Safe City Project To Start By Year-end: CPO

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th August, 2016) : City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Azhar Akram on Wednesday said that work on safe city project would start from the end of the current year. Addressing a ceremony, organised by Rotary Club Metropolitan as chief guest here, Muhammad Azhar Akram said that five to six thousand cameras would be installed in the city under the project.
He said that a control room would be set up at old Shujabad Road on 40-kanal land and 1,000 IT professional would be deputed there. He stated that 100 inches long and 30 inches wide screnes would be installed in monitoring room adding that survey of the project has been completed. He said that only 1,200 police officials, out of 4,200, were available for operational duties and remaining were performing other duties.
