SC Adjourns Suo-moto Case Regarding Illegal Appointments In NAB

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23th August, 2016) : The Supreme Court on Wednesday adjourned hearing of the suo-moto case regarding illegal appointments in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) till third week of September.
The three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali comprising Justice Faisal Arab and Justice Qazi Faez Isa heard the case.
The Chief Justice remarked that the Supreme Court would take action if illegal appointments have been made in the NAB.
The Prosecutor General NAB made request to the court for granting two weeks of time to submit detailed reply before the court. The court also issued notice to Attorney General for Pakistan over applications filed by eight employees of the NAB to become party in the case. It is pertinent to note here that Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali had taken suo moto notice on August 17 over alleged illegal appointments in the NAB.
