CTO Reviews Traffic Preparations At OLMT Project Sites

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th August, 2016) : City Traffic Officer (CTO) Tayyab Hafeez Cheema on Wednesday visited construction sites of Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) and other important thoroughfares to review traffic arrangements during rain. During his visit, the CTO announced cash reward and commendatory certificates for three traffic wardens on outstanding performance, whereas he also directed the DSPs and sector In-charges to issue continuous instructions for maintaining smooth traffic flow during rains.
The traffic officials have been directed to evolve comprehensive parking measures besides taking action against encroachment and other traffic rules' violations around the development sites of the project to facilitate the people. He also instructed to deploy additional staff at Canal Bank Road underpasses, MM Alam Road, Gawalmandi Chowk, McLeod Road, Out-Fall Road, Allama Iqbal Road, Mozang Chowk and other important roads to avoid traffic mess during rain.
