Ministry Of Humans Rights Sets Up Helpline 1099

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th August, 2016) : Helpline 1099 for legal advice on human rights violations has been set up by the Ministry of Human Rights, said an official while talking to APP on Wednesday. The Helpline has resolved 2972 eligible cases by providing legal advice and referral services to the victims of human rights violations.
Out of these, 2132 callers have been provided legal advice, whereas 849 people have been referred to the relevant departments for redressal of their grievances. The total number of persons who contacted the Helpline 1099 for legal advice on human rights violations during 2016 is 36431 out of which 2972 cases were eligible.
