PESCO Seize 57 Illegal Powers Connections

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th August, 2016) : The PESCO surveillance teams on Wednesday seized 57 more illegal connections during various successful raids in different parts of the province and expedited drive against illegal use of electricity through direct hocks. The team on the directives of Chief Executive Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) Anwar Ul Haq Yousafzai expedited campaign against illegal use of electricity in the province and raided in different areas by nabbing 57 more power stealers red handed. Three electricity stealers were caught in Khyber Circle at Pezu sub division while 30 including bakers, jewelers and other shops were apprehanded at Sarai Norang sub division.

In Nowshera City sub division, 13 alleged power stealers including Israil flour mill whose meter was found 66% slow.

The meter was immediately replaced and sent to Meter Laboratory for test. In Mardan Circle City-1 sub division, seven alleged electricity stealers were nabbed including Zaryab Ice Bar,Sartaj Ice Bar,Pak Khyber Ice Cream,Insaf shop and other shops.
