Advisory Council To Be Formed For Fishermen; Minister

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -24th Augst,2016) : Sindh Minister for Livestock, Muhammad Ali Malkani has said that an advisory council will be formed for the welfare of small level fishermen in province.
The council will work for provision of facilities to fishermen on priority basis. He was addressing a programme organized by Pakistan Fisher Folk Forum and World Forum of Fisher Peoples, at a local hotel here on Wednesday.
The minister added that the government will consult with all stake holders for the purpose.
He said the Fisheries Department will take the initiatives in this regard. Minister for Livestock later talking to media said that legislation is underway to bring improvement in the lives of fishermen and to provide them better facilities. Muhammad Ali Malkani further stated that mafia will be eliminated from this sector and the fishermen will be provided legal assistance.
