Operation Against Power Theft Starts In Astore

ASTORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -24th Augst,2016) : In a bid to put check on illegal usage of power and power theft, the Magistrate Astore, Saeed Ahmad has conducted drive against the illegal use of electric goods without electric meters.
During operation, the Magistrate captured 556 different electric equipments from different people and imposed fine upto tune of Rs 16,000. The operation was conducted in Eidgah, Chongarah, Patipura, Lous ,Feena and Gorikot. The operation is started due to heavy load shedding in summer season because in summer people use electric equipments illegally in their homes.
Magistrate told media that due to illegal use of electricity Electric Department is not able to control load shedding.
