Azadi Train Reaches Multan

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23th August, 2016) : Azadi train, in connection with Independence Day celebrations, reached at Railways Station here on Monday late night. The train enroute to Karachi from Peshawar has reached Multan after staying Rawalpindi, Faisalabad,Gujranwala, Lahore and several other junctions.
A warm welcome was accorded to Azadi Train at the Multan railway station by the people. Shaista, a visitor of Azadi Train said that it was a good effort by Pakistan Railways to run a beautiful Azadi Train.
She said that her whole family enjoyed to visit the galleries and cultural floats. Another visitor Ahmed Rai said that people love to visit such an informative galleries. The gallery of national heroes also displayed the pictures of L/Naik Saif Ali Janjoha Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider, Maj Tufail Muhammad Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider, Capt Col Sher Khan Shaheed Nishan-e-Haider, Hawaldar Lalik Jan Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider, Capt Muhammad Sarwar Nishan-e-Haider,Maj.
Shabir Shareef Shaheed Nishan-e-Haider, Lance Naik Muhammad Mehfooz Shaheed Nishan-e-Haider, Maj. Muhammad Akram Shaheed Nishan Haider and Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed Nishan-e- Haider. The visitors highly appreciated Pakistan Railways and other concerned departments for displaying such a beautiful pictures.
A large number of people was also witnessed at Cultural floats. The folk artists performances was also lauded by the locals. A puppet show of Pakistan National Council of the Arts was also attracted a large number of people. Directorate of Media and Electronic Publications also maintained two galleries, specially Kashmir Gallery is attracting a huge crowed at Azadi Train.
