Nine LDA Officials Punished Under PEEDA

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23th August, 2016) : In line with the direction of the Director General Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Nabeel Javed for adopting zero tolerance against the negligent officials, nine employees have been awarded major and minor penalties under PEEDA Act 2006, pursuant to their suspension early this month. Competent Authority, the Additional Director General (HQ) LDA has awarded major penalty of `forfeiture of past one year service upon M/s Salman Raza and Tayyab Ali, Assistant Directors Town Planning, Muhammad Amin, Staff officers, Hafeez Ahmad, Nasim Iqbal, Syed Mehtab Ali and Zahur Ud Din, Senior Clerks, LDA.
Major penalty of `forfeiture of last three years service has been imposed upon Muhammad Azam Javaid, sub-engineers (survey), while minor penalty of withholding of promotion for two years has been upon Naveed Yousaf, sub-engineers (survey).
Director General LDA Nabeel Javed has warned of strict action against the officials involved in using delaying tactics and putting irrelevant objections on applications filed by the people. He directed all the officers and officials concerned for ensuring timely disposal of applications submitted at the One Window Cell of LDA.
He has further directed for informing the applicants about objections, if any, on their application in one go instead of causing inconvenience to them by calling them again and again.
