Patwari Arrested For Accepting Bribe

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23th August, 2016) : Anti Corruption Lahore on Tuesday arrested a patwari (revenue officer) red-handed while taking bribe. According to Anti Corruption Lahore spokesman, Haroon Hayat had submitted an application to the Anti-Corruption Department Lahore, wherein he alleged that revenue official Muhammad Riaz received Rs 10,000 as bribe and demanding for more Rs 20,000 for demarcation of his land.
On the direction by the Director Anti Corruption Lahore, circle officer Zubair Akhlaq, along with Judicial Magistrate Mazhar Rammay raided the whereabout of Patwari when he was accepting bribe from the complainant. The team, after recovering the amount, sent the official for judicial remand.
