PTF To Hold High Performance Camp For Juniors

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23th August, 2016) : Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) will hold a high performance junior coaching camp from September 1 here at the clay courts of Syed Dilawar Abbas PTF Complex.
"The camp is being organized under the umbrella of PTF's Junior Development Programme and Davis Cup Cupper and qualified coach Shahzad Khan will supervise the coaching assignment," a PTF spokesman told APP on Tuesday. The PTF had initiated Junior Development Programme on January, 2015 and since then a series of camps had been held in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Islamabad.
The spokesman said the federation had asked all the provincial Tennis Associations and Federal Tennis Association to nominate two junior players of 14 and 17 years of age for the camp.
Priority will be given to current higher ranked players, he said. He said besides coaching the PTF would provide accommodation to players at the PTF Complex. He said that the federation had also requested Pakistan Army to arrange the services of an Army physical trainer, having basic tennis know how of basic tennis physical training requirements for Pakistan tennis on regular basis.
