IHC Judge Recuses From Hearing Case Of Dr. Shahid Masood

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23th August, 2016) : Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzaib Tuesday recused from hearing a petition challenging ban imposed by Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on programme "Live with Dr.

Shahid Masood" for a period of 45 days.

"I received a letter to pass the order in favor of the petitioner, which is not acceptable to me at any cost so I decided to detach myself from this case," the Judge mentioned before recusing to hear the case. The case was referred to Chief Justice Islamabad High Court for the fixation of the case to another bench. The petition was moved by ARY Media Communications (PVT) through its counsel Faisal Chuahdry in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
