ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23th August, 2016) : Children's Global Network Pakistan (CGN-P) organizing closing ceremony of the six week long entrepreneurial training here on August 24, at academy of Educational Planning and Management (AEPAM).

The training was part of Parwaan Preschool-A school Readiness Program being undertaken in collaboration with Ilm Ideas 2, said a press release here. Minister of State for Federal education and Professional Training Engineer Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman will be the chief guest.

Parwaan Preschool-A School Readiness Programme is Pakistan's first ever innovative programme that caters to early year's education and development needs of poor and marginalized children of age 3-5 years by building capacities of youth entrepreneurs to open up Early Childhood Development (ECD) centers in their respective communities. Parwaan Preschool-A School Readiness Programme will provide quality ECD opportunities to about 72,000 children of the neglected age group 3 and 5 years over a period of three years.

This will increase the likelihood that the children stay at school and succeed in the all-important first few years of primary education. CGN-P through a multi-stakeholder approach will train a cohort of 6000 social entrepreneurs to open ECD centres in 30 districts in three provinces- Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Baluchistan, FATA and Islamabad Capital Territory. The six-week long training undertaken in the five districts, Islamabad Capital Territory, Charsadda, Khoshab, Kohat and Bahawlpur completed successfully.

The training provided the entrepreneurs an understanding of entrepreneurial skills, early childhood development pedagogy and managerial skills to run the ECD centers. The trainees were exposed to the National Curriculum for Early Childhood Education 2007 document to discuss and learn about the key learning areas and students' learning outcomes and the relationship between key learning areas and learning outcomes and the concept of assessment by using different ways.
