The PTI founder demands footages of the May 9 incidents, saying that the perpetrators involved in the said incident will not only face action but will be ousted from the party
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-August 7th, 2024) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan offered conditional apology on Wednesday regarding the events of May 9.
In his latest statement, Khan said, “I will take action against all those who are involved in the May 9 incidents and will expel them from the party.”
The PTI has called for the release of footage from the May 9 incidents and has demanded that appropriate action be taken against those responsible.
Khan also claimed that the PTI has faced injustice, being prevented from participating in the elections.
During a conversation with journalists at Adiala Jail, Imran Khan stated that the CCTV footage from May 9 should be brought forward first.
He said that if PTI members are found to be involved in the events of May 9, he will apologize. He also mentioned that if PTI members are found guilty, he will expel them from the party and ensure they are punished.
Imran Khan said that the Rangers dragged him, and there is no respect for the most popular person in Pakistan and globally.
He said, “Don't you have the right to apologize to me?”
It may be mentioned here that recently Imran Khan said that there will be no settlement with the government or the military outside of court until their majority in the elections is acknowledged.
