PARIS: Pakistani sprinter Faiqa Riaz competed in the 100-meter qualification on Friday, and finished sixth in her heat. Faiqa Riaz completed the race in 12.49 seconds.
Faiqa Riaz did not place in the top 10 of her heat nor among the next 5 overall best performers, failing to qualify for the final round of the 100-meter race and being eliminated from the event.
Another Pakistani female athlete, Kasmala Talat, was also eliminated from the Paris Olympics today. She participated in the 25-meter air pistol event qualification but did not advance to the final round, finishing 22nd out of 40 shooters.
With this, the journey of all three Pakistani female athletes in the Paris Olympics has ended.
