ISPR says terrorists opened fire indiscriminately at the staff of the Rural Health Center in the Kari Shamozai area
D.I. Khan: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 16th, 2024) The terrorists launched a cowardly attack on a Rural Health Center in Dera Ismail Khan on Tuesday, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The ISPR reported that terrorists opened fire indiscriminately at the staff of the Rural Health Center in the Kari Shamozai area.
The attack led to the martyrdom of five individuals, including two lady health workers and two children.
Following the incident, security forces swiftly carried out a clearance operation at the health center, during which three terrorists were killed in an exchange of gunfire.
The ISPR also reported that Naib Subedar Muhammad Farooq and Sepoy Javed Iqbal were martyred during the firefight with the terrorists.
The Pakistan Army's public relations wing emphasized that those responsible for this despicable and cowardly attack on innocent civilians, particularly women and children, will be brought to justice.
A sanitization operation is currently underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area.
