Anti-polio Campaign To Begin From Aug 29

SUKKUR,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -23rd Augst,2016) : Deputy Commissioner (DC), Ghotki, Muhammad Tahir Watto on Tuesday said the achievement of 100 percent polio vaccination target in all union councils of the Ghotki district will be ensured.

While presiding over a meeting at his office, the DC said that polio vaccination teams need to work with dedication and national zeal for the success of the upcoming three-day anti-polio campaign which will start from August 29.

He warned that if any doctors or polio team member found negligent will be suspended and action will be taken against them.

The representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF health department officials and town health officials attended the meeting.

The meeting was told that children will be vaccinated at health camps in all union councils of the district.The Deputy Commissioner directed the District Health Officer (DHO) to ensure achieving 100 percent target during the forthcoming campaign. The DC further said that all the stakeholders of the society have to perform their mutual and effective role to get rid of the fatal disease of polio.
