Minorities Role In Country's Progress Lauded

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -22nd Augst,2016) : Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Minorities Affairs Tariq Maseeh Gill has said that the role of minorities was significant and unforgettable in Pakistan movement and development of the country. He was addressing a ceremony held in connection Independence Day celebrations arranged by Taang Wasaib Organization here on Monday. He said that all the minorities living in Pakistan had ever loved the country adding that they were enjoying every type of independence and were ready to sacrifice their lives for the country. On the occasion, MPA Dr.
Nadia Aziz said that the government led by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was making effective legislation for the basic rights of the minorities and in this connection the minorities were giving five percent quota in government jobs while 300 educational scholarships were also delivered to the minority students.

Shahnawaz Ranjha said on this occasion that the government had allocated over Rs. 3 billion funds for the development and security of the worship places of the minorities in the country. Rubina Feroz Bhatti Chairperson Taang Wasaib, Kiran Kamran and other minorities leaders also addressed the ceremony.
