Tokyo Stocks Edges Up By Break On Weaker Yen

TOKYO, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -22nd Augst,2016) - Tokyo shares edged up Monday morning as the Yen weakened further on speculation over central bank monetary policies and lifted investor sentiment. By the break, the benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose 0.24 percent, or 38.93 points, to 16,584.75, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares gained 0.40 percent, or 5.13 points, to 1,300.80.
