Rashid Minhas Martyrdom

the martyrdom of the bravest Pakistani pilot Rashid minhas is being observed today. Rashid minhas is the one who sacrificed his life for his dear homeland and set an example of real patriotism for the rest. in 1971 he joined Pakistan Air-force as a commissioned DG pilot. he was greatly influenced by the history of aviation and technology and was fond of collecting models of different jets and fighter jets. he became the pilot officer in august 1971 and was going to conduct his first flight on 20th of august when suddenly his instructor Matee ur Rehman boarded in his jet and turned the jet towards India. but the 20 years old pilot rashid minhas thwarted this conspiracy of the enemy and turned this jet towards the ground. this on one hand protected Pakistan from deadly conspiracy but also gave him the status of first martyred officer of Pakistan Air force.
