67 Disabled Persons Get Prosthetic Limbs In Bajaur

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th August, 2016) : As many as 67 physically impaired people received prosthetic limbs at the headquarters hospital in Bajaur agency. The prosthetic limbs (legs and arms) were provided under the rehabilitation of physically disabled persons program of the Fata health department to people who lost their body parts in different incidents, reported a private news channel.
According to program coordinator Dr.
Imtiaz they had been striving to rehabilitate those who had lost their legs or hands in bomb blast. He added that they were also helping polio affected people under the rehabilitation program. Dr.
Imtiaz maintained that more than 1500 disabled people had been provided prosthetic limbs so far. Those who received the artificial organs expressed great excitement and hoped it would help them in regaining mobility.
