CII Rejects KP Domestic Violence Bill

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th August, 2016) :Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) Friday rejected the proposed Domestic Violence Bill by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for being in conflict with Islamic laws. The Bill was sent by Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for opinion of the CII.
The council had already conveyed its preliminary opinion to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa about the Bill on March 28, 2016. The detailed opinion about the Bill had also been sent to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday, August 18, 2016, said a press release. The council decides about any referred Bill after thorough discussion among members and with utmost care.The council sends the copy of detailed decision to relevant institutions.
