Accountability of police continues; two SHOs suspended on misuse of power

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th August, 2016) : Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani Thursday suspended two SHOs on charges of misuse of powers and bad reputation with immediate effect and further ordered departmental inquiry against them. According to details a citizen of Peshawar through SMS submitted a complaint with IG Police regarding misuse of powers by SHO Pahari pura Peshawar Safdar Khan while an another citizen of Chitral complained about the bad reputation and relations with criminals of SHO Ayun Chitral Shamsher Elahi.

The IG Police checked both the complaints through concerned senior police officers who in their separate report confirmed the allegations based on facts and recommended strict action against them. The IGP in light of the inquiry reports of the senior police officers suspended both i.e SHO Pahari pura Peshawar Safdar Khan and SHO Ayun Chitral Shamsher Elahi with immediate effect and further ordered departmental inquiry against them for major punishment.
