PEF Enhances Amount Of Cash Prizes For Position Holders

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th August, 2016) : The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has enhanced an amount of cash prizes for position-holder students of partner schools. Now, overall first position holders of Boards of Intermediate & Secondary Education and Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) exams would be given Rs 50,000 cash prize each.
Similarly, Rs 40,000 will be given to overall second position-holder; while Rs 30,000 will be given to third position- holder. Meanwhile, Rs 25,000 will be given to group-category topper in Boards' higher secondary education exams Rs 20,000 for second position-holder and Rs 15,000 for third position-holder in group-category will be given by the foundation.
The purpose is to encourage and extol the hard working & brilliant students as well as to cheer up their schools. MD PEF Tariq Mahmood said this while presiding over the weekly coordination meeting at his office on Thursday.
The meeting expressed the satisfaction that partner schools' students have always shown good results in different exams. It was told that two different students namely Sheher Bano Saeed and Sidra Bano had secured second positions in Arts group in Multan and Gujranwala Boards; while Muhammad Shahzad has got third position in Multan board's exam held in 2016.
