Orthopaedic Workshop to provide artificial limbs established

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Augst,2016) : National Special education Centre (NSEC) for Physically Handicapped Children has established an Orthopaedic Workshop to provide artificial limbs and supportive aids to the physically handicapped students. Ministry of Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) has taken some steps for social welfare, special education and rehabilitation of children with disabilities in Islamabad during last three years and major amongst them was setting-up of Autism Resource Centre in National Special Education Centre for Intellectually Disabled at H-8/4.

Official sources on Thursday said the other step was up-gradation of NSEC for HIC from higher secondary to graduation level H-9/4, Islamabad. The sources said computerization of National Braille Press is completed at National Special Education Centre for Visually Handicapped Children, Islamabad while national Policy for Persons with Disabilities was also formulated.
