Ankara, (Pakistan Point News – 18th August, 2016) : 40 people were wounded and 3 killed in an explosion near a police station and barracks in Turkey’s eastern province of Van near the Iranian border on Wednesday. According to Dogan news agency, explosion occurred when a car bomb exploded. Many police and ambulances were seen rushing to the scene. A police station was targeted in the blast that also serves as a police barracks. Prime Minister Binali Yildirim confirmed while speaking live on television from Ankara that there had been an attack on a police station in Van. It was not immediately clear who was behind the attack. Kurdish militants frequently target police stations and other security force outposts with car bombs.
