UVAS, Sadiq Group Sign MoU For Development Of Poultry Sector

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th August, 2016) : The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore and Sadiq Group Rawalpindi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of poultry sector.
Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and Sadiq Group HR Manager Toseeq Ahmad signed the MoU at the UVAS City Campus on Wednesday. Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Masood Rabbani and Director External Linkages Dr Imtiaz Rabbani were also present.
Under the MoU, both the organisations will cooperate in developing policy recommendations for the development and promotion of poultry sector in Punjab and other provinces to undertake various initiatives for strengthening academia-industry linkage, maximize knowledge base in poultry and allied sectors through research activities.
They will also hold workshops, seminars and information dissemination campaigns to educate consumers and poultry farmers on all related issues. The Sadiq Group will allow UVAS students for internship and other training and research work at its farms and processing facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha said the UVAS was closely working with the industry for quality education and research. He said that the university had a unique poultry set up and poultry farms for the training of its students.
He said the university had also started amino acid analysis of feed and food stuff at Ravi Campus on commercial lines for the feed industry.
