Youth Receives Award For Saving Five Lives

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th August, 2016) : The Help Foundation, a non-governmental organization, acknowledging the bravery and courage of a young boatman for rescuing two minor kids and three women from river Indus on August 16 (Tuesday), has announced to award prize to him. Jamsheed Soomro, the representative of Help Foundation informed that they would arrange a ceremony on August 19, (Humanitarian Day) and award the brave youngster.
It is pertinent to mention here that a boat was carrying 17 passengers when it capsized in river Indus on August 16 (Tuesday).
In the meantime, boatman Muhammad Ishfaq jumped into the river and rescued two minor children and three women. Shah Muhammad, the father of the boatman also rushed to the site along with other rescuers and police concerned.
They carried out rescue operation and saved the lives of other drowned persons. Similarly, an Anti-TB Organization also announced prizes for the young boatman.
