Rugby coaching course concludes

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th August, 2016) :- Level I Rugby coaching course concluded here on Wednesday with all the nine participants receiving certificates. Head coach, Pakistan Rugby Union, Shakeel Ahmed conducted the two day beneficial which aimed at imparting latest coaching knowledge of the game.

President, PRU, Fawzi Khawaja, attended the concluding day session and gave useful coaching tips to coaches and also briefed them about the game of rugby and its future. On the final day, a ground session also held in which Shakeel Ahmed demonstrated finer points of modern day rugby coaching.

Following received the certificates Owais Akram, Ali Hayder and Malik Arif, (Lahore) Abdul Maqeet (Fort Abbass), Hanan Afridi (Vehari), Muhammad Amir (Sargodha), Abid hussain (Lodhran), Ahmed and Mohammad Basit (Muzafarghar).

The participants were of the view that such training courses are imperative to groom the technical officials of the game and to broaden the base of coaches. "PRU is taking keen interest to enhance the technical knowledge of coaches and the ongoing course will add to the efforts to equip the coaches with the most modern coaching techniques and methods," they said.

They praised the efforts of PRU for giving special attention on holding such courses.
