WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th March, 2023) US Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell is being treated for a concussion after tripping at a dinner event on Wednesday evening, McConnell's Communications Director David Popp said in a release on Thursday.
"Leader McConnell tripped at a dinner event Wednesday evening and has been admitted to the hospital and is being treated for a concussion," Popp wrote in the statement.
Popp added that McConnell, who is 81, is expected to remain in the hospital for a few days for observation and appropriate treatment. It wasn't immediately clear which hospital he was taken to for care.
