WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th March, 2023) President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are sending their best wishes to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who was hospitalized after suffering a fall, the White House said on Thursday.
"They are both wishing Leader McConnell a swift recovery and sending him their best wishes to get well soon," Principal Deputy Press Secretary Olivia Dalton said at a press briefing.
McConnell, who is 81, tripped at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Washington DC on Wednesday, and is receiving treatment at a hospital.
In 2019, McConnell suffered a shoulder fracture after tripping at his Kentucky home.
