Level 1 Rugby Training Course Begins

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th August, 2016) : Level-I rugby training course started here on Tuesday at Pakistan Rugby Union head office with nine participants attending. Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU) Head coach and World Rugby Educator Shakeel Malik is conducting the two-day useful activity which aims at upgrading the existing knowledge of the participants. Shakeel Ahmed delivered lecture and gave a detailed presentation about the basics of rugby in the inaugural session of the course. Those attending included Owais Akram, Ali Hayder and Malik Arif, (Lahore) Abdul Maqeet (Fort Abbass), Hanan Afridi (Vehari), Muhammad Amir (Sargodha), Abid hussain (Lodhran), Ahmed and Mohammad Basit (Muzaffargarh).
The participants were of the view that such training courses are imperative to groom the technical officials of the game and to broaden the base of coaches. "PRU is taking keen interest to enhance the technical knowledge of coaches and the ongoing course will add to the efforts to equip the coaches with the most modern coaching techniques and methods," they said .
They praised the efforts of PRU for giving special attention on holding such courses.
