Overseas Minister Assures Stranded Pakistani Workers To Resolve Their Problems

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Augst,2016) : Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Pir Syed Sadaruddin Shah Rashidi, who is presently visiting Saudi Arabia, assured the stranded Pakistani workers about early resolution of their sufferings.
The Federal Minister was addressing Pakistani workers at Takhassusi, Sang, Imam camp of Saudi Oger Company at Riyadh, Saudia Arabia, said a news release issued here on Tuesday. He said that the present government attaches high importance to the Pakistani immigrants who send valuable foreign remittances and all efforts will be made to overcome sufferings and problems being faced by Pakistani workers.
He said that the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has categorically directed that every effort must be made for early resolution of the problems of Pakistanis workers presently living in various camps in Saudi Arabia.
The Minister told the workers that "You are heart-beat of Pakistan", while meeting with them at Riyadh.
The Federal Minister assured the workers that he will take up their problems like provision of food, medical facilities at camps, renewal of Iqamas,transfer of work permits and other matters with Saudi Labour and Health Ministers during his stay in Saudi Arabia. The meetings with Saudi Ministers have already been scheduled to find out solution to the problems of these workers.
He assured that the interests of Pakistani workers will be protected and their all legitimate dues will be paid to them. He said that he has directed the authorities concerned for extension of passports of Pakistani workers free of cost.
All problems and issues will be resolved amicably. Managing Director, Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, Habib Ur Rehman Gilani and Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, Manzoor ul Haq also accompanied the Federal Minister.
The Federal Minister is on five days visit to Saudi Arabia to resolve the issues being faced by the Pakistani workers there, as per directives of Prime Minister.
