Annual Urs Celebrations Of Sufi Poet Bedil From Aug 18

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Augst,2016) : The three-day celebrations of 148th annual Urs of renowned Sufi poet Faqir Qadir Bux Bedil will begin from August 18, at the last resting place of the poet at Rohri. Sindh Minister for Transport, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Commissioner of Sukkur, Muhammad Abbas Baloch would jointly inaugurate the festival by laying floral wreath on the shrine.

Later, Sufi faqirs will recite the poetry of Bedil. Deputy Commissioner, Sukkur, Dr Waheed Asghar Bhatti has directed the TMO Rohri to ensure stage decoration, sitting arrangement, sound system and cleanliness on the occasion. The Bedil Yadgar Committee will present three Bedil awards 2016 to the best author, best singer and best poet.
