Locals Express Jubliance Over Arrival Of Azadi Train, Take Selfies

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Augst,2016) : Hundreds of local people at Malakwal and Bhalwal stations took selfies with the illuminated floats of Azadi Train, during its short-stay as part of month-long journey to mark Independence Day' celebrations.
The locals expressed great jubliance over arrival and stay of Azadi Train at the Railway Stations of their areas and took selfies with the scientific, cultural and historical models. Majeed Khan, a school teacher at Malakwal said, "I came here with my family to have round of the Azadi Train.
The train is not only a source of attraction and fun for the children but also disseminating cultural and historical information". Talking to APP, he said, "Azadi Train has added colour to our Independence Day celebrations and it is very rare that people here have gathered for some entertaining activity in such a large number." Qasim, a young student at Bhalwal Station said,"a large gathering of people here to have a glimpse of Azadi train among the slogans of `Pakistan Zindabad' and `Dhol' performance has turned the event into a big festival.
"The youngsters are dancing, enjoying the music and visiting the illuminated floats of Azadi Train to take historical pictures with it", he said. The local people showered rose petals on the Azadi Train on its arrival as a welcoming gesture. A young girl, Samia said "I enjoyed my visit to the Azadi Train a lot and it has made my day.
I was very much excited to see the train and came at the station prior to the train arrival. She said, "We find very less opportunities to attend such activities and I wish we could have more such occasions and festivals in our area".
A large number of visitors took round of the train and expressed keen interest in the galleries, scientific models and cultural floats. According to the Incharge Azadi Train, the train is getting overwhelming response from the visitors at each station. He said as Azadi Train will go ahead, the number of visitors will be increased.
The train will continue its journey and its next destinations will be Sargodha while it will stay at Faisalabad for night.
