ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Augst,2016) : President District Bar Association (DBAI) Syed Muhammad Tayyab has stressed upon the need of having fool proof security of 'District Courts' here at F-8 markaz. Around 5000-6000 people visit `Kutchery' in persue of their cases and around 100 respectable judges sit at various courts.
Few walk-through gates, installed for security purpose, were also out of order, he told APP here on Tuesday. The president DBAI said security was not only the issue of lawyers and judges but that of hundreds of people who visit the courts daily.
To a question whether some security loopholes were identified by the lawyers' community around `Kutcehry' after Quetta incident, he said the reservations about security measures had already been conveyed to the Islamabad Capital Territory administration and police.
"These are technical aspects and it is up to them as how to cover them," he maintained. When contacted, Islamabad police said security had been tightened in sector F-8 and also around the lower courts especially for lawyers, judges and visiting people. The police said all available resources were being utilized for this purpose and a boundary wall had been erected around Kutchery besides installing walk-through gates at entry points.
More than 150 policemen personnel had also been assigned security duties there, he added. Six police pickets had been erected in the vicinity of Kutchery while rapid response force continuously patrol there, police added.
